Kentridge in Rosebank

William Kentridge Nose: Thirty Etchings has moved to David Krut Projects in Rosebank. ‘Nose’ is a suite of thirty limited-edition etchings and is the culmination of a four-year collaboration between the artist and David Krut Print Workshop. The suite offers a South African audience the opportunity to engage with the images behind Kentridge’s interpretation of Shostakovich’s opera The Nose which premieres at The Metropolitan Opera, New York, in March 2010. Things getting all blurry?

Blur Zone is an exhibition by Lyndi Sales at Gallery MOMO, opening on Thursday 11 March at 6.30pm and concluding on 12 April. Lyndi writes: “Vision, perception and the imagination is my focus in the exhibition titled Blur Zone. An eye condition began my investigation into eyesight dilemmas. Conditions of blurring, double vision and visual illusions typical of astigmatism resulted in creations of abstract paper cut outs, drawings and a Spiro graphic string installation.” Photo caption: Double Vision is one of the visual phenomena examined in Blur Zone

The FIFA 2010 Official Art Poster Edition is available at David Krut Projects and Bookstores at 140 Jan Smuts Avenue. The Official Art Poster Edition 2010 FIFA World Cup South AfricaTM, manufactured and distributed under licence by brands united, Leipziger Strasse 63, 10117 Berlin, www.brandsunited.de. David Krut Projects is proud to be the official distributor in South Africa of the FIFA 2010 Official Art Posters Edition series. Six local and eleven international artists were selected to create the poster collection. These works are a celebration of and homage to the 'beautiful game.'
