Main Street and Marshalltown feature as things one can do alone, together with a visit to the Standard Bank building at 5 Simmonds which has part of the original Ferreira Mine which was discovered during the building's construction in 1986 exactly 100 years after the discovery of gold.

Mining and architectural, cultural, political and historical interest tours and places are mentioned. Places of worship, festivals, theatres and various other activities such as day drives to the Magaliesburg are listed, while in town, interesting places to have a drink include The Rand Club, The Guildhall Pub and the Radium Beer Hall.
